As we ride out the COVID-19 storm, we remember a simple, fundamentally reassuring thing: the importance of home.
Buying or selling a home is probably the biggest, most complicated, and most emotionally taxing transaction you will make. Because our job as real estate agents is to guide buyers and sellers through this very involved process, often are too focused on the nitty-gritty of a particular sale to reflect on why we do what we do.
However, we became agents because there’s nothing more meaningful to us than helping our clients buy or sell their home. While home represents different things to different people, it is undeniably the place that makes each of us feel comfortable, secure, and loved.
This is exactly what we need at a time of great uncertainty. Spending our days behind closed doors may be frustrating at times. But it is the only vantage point from which we can see what is most valuable to us.
